Frequently asked questions

Answers about certified translation, apostille, legalization, notary services, turnaround times and prices in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

How much does a certified translation cost?

Prices depend on the language pair, the length and layout of the document, the deadline and whether notarisation or apostille is needed. Send us a photo or scan and we will reply with a firm, no-obligation quote.

How long does it take?

Most standard certificates (birth, marriage, police records) are translated in 1–3 business days. Apostilles and legalizations depend on the authorities involved; we give you a realistic timeline with the quote. Urgent service is available.

Is St Vincent and the Grenadines part of the Apostille Convention?

Yes. Vincentian public documents can be apostilled for use in other member countries, and foreign apostilled documents are generally accepted here. Countries outside the Convention require embassy or consulate legalization, which we also handle.

Do I need to come to your office?

Usually not. For most translations a clear scan is enough. When originals are needed (for apostille or legalization), we arrange collection and courier anywhere in St Vincent and the Grenadines and abroad.

Will my translation be accepted?

Before we start, we check the requirements of the authority that will receive it (embassy, immigration, court, university, bank). That way you get exactly the format, certification and authentication they expect.

Are my documents kept confidential?

Yes. All translators and staff are bound by confidentiality, files are transmitted securely and deleted after the agreed retention period.

Which languages do you cover?

More than 100, including French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, German, Italian, Haitian Creole, Papiamento, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Hindi. Rare languages are available through ABC Translation's international network.

How do I pay?

Payment details are sent with your quote. We accept bank transfer and card payments; corporate clients can be invoiced.
